Wysp is AI predictive text for your whole Mac. As you write in Mail, Messages, Slack, Notes, a browser, anywhere, a small AI model suggests the next few words in soft grey ghost text at your cursor. Press tab to keep them and carry on. It fades when you don't.
What makes Wysp different is where the thinking happens. The model lives inside the app and runs on your Apple Silicon chip, not in the cloud. There's no account, no sign-in, and no server to send your words to. It even works with the Wi-Fi off. We can't read what you type, because it never reaches us.
Why we built it
Good predictive typing already existed, but it sat behind monthly subscriptions or inside a single app, and too much of it shipped your keystrokes to someone else's servers. Wysp works everywhere you type, costs nothing for the core, and keeps your words on your own machine by default.
What we believe
On-device. No account, no tracking. Off means off, and you can see exactly what's shared.
The core predictive-text experience is free forever. Premium is a one-time purchase, never a subscription.
It works without setup. No knobs to tune, no prompt-wrangling. Just type.
How it's built
Wysp runs an efficient open language model directly on your Apple Silicon chip, with no Python sidecar and no cloud call. We chose on-device from the start because it's the only way to make a privacy promise we can actually keep: if the words never leave your Mac, there is nothing to leak, log, or sell. macOS 14 and Apple Silicon are the floor because that's where on-device inference is fast enough to suggest the next words before you'd have typed them yourself.
The part most autocomplete tools skip is underneath the model: a fast, deterministic personal layer that learns the words, names, and phrases you use most and predicts them instantly. The language model sits behind it for the harder, context-aware suggestions, and an arbiter decides which one to show. That split is why common completions feel immediate and start to sound like you, while the model is saved for the moments it earns its keep. The build is a single signed, notarized app, so there's nothing to compile and nothing to configure.
Who makes Wysp
Wysp is built by TwinPine Digital, a founder-led UK sole trader making focused, privacy-respecting software ("Wysp" is its trading name). TwinPine Digital is responsible for Wysp and the data controller for anything you choose to share. It's early: Wysp is in open beta and improving fast, and you can follow what changes on the changelog.
